Elle a Chaud Au Cul

A photographic series about the famed cultural artefact, Mona Lisa.

The title is blatantly stolen from Marcel Duchamp's L.H.O.O.Q., and the series draws upon his candid exploration of this infamous-turned-mundane painting.

These images observe the way people engage with this object in a world that demands instant satisfaction and ownership of experience. To crudely draw from Duchamp’s play on words; we find in these images the documentation of many encountering Da Vinci’s work of art through the same device/lens where one may go searching for hot ass. The painting becomes another flex of their values, but only within the confines of the device.
